History

Christ Evangelical Church was gathered in 1991 in Middleboro, MA as a church plant in the classical congregational style. Originally founded in a living room, we soon moved to a charming old 100 year old school house and shared 15 years of Worship Services, a vibrant Sunday School and Youth Group, Vacation Bible Schools, delicious Coffee Hours and Church Meals, year around Bible Studies and Prayer Groups and more.  At the same time, we always felt deeply called by God to reach out to the sick, disabled and elderly, and just about everyone in the church, from the youngest child to the oldest adult, took part in our ministry to a number of local nursing homes and long term care facilities.

After 15 years, various circumstances caused us to feel led by God to devote ourselves completely to the needs of the sick, the disabled, the elderly, the dying and those who believe that they are all alone in the world.  Thus we are now a completely mobile ministry, traveling about founding and leading ministries in nursing homes, assisted and independant living apartments, rehabilitation centers and other types of settings, such as home church and beach church, and also assisting other ministries in any way that we can.  We also lead retreats and quiet days and assist churches through supply preaching and by being available for bridge and interim ministry.  And now our pastor also serves as the pastor of Lynnfield Community Church, a beautiful classical white New England Church founded in 1854.
